My card is made using our Bible Verse from Romans 12:2. It's a scripture that I memorized years ago when I was a young Christian back in the 1980's, so it's very special to me.
I recently discovered how to change our scriptures (or any black image) to color. I use Canva Pro and "Edit" the image. Then I click "Effects" and choose "Duotone." From there you'll see color choices and you can type in any hex number to make your image any color. I was so excited when I learned how to do this!
Anyway, here's my complete supply list:
- Word Art Wednesday Bible Verse (below)
- Paige Evans Patterned Paper
- Stampin' Up! Balmy Blue Card Stock
- SU! Azure Afternoon Card Stock
- Pink & Main Arch Dies
- SU! Bloom & Gorw Stamps & Dies
- Copics, B21, B95, Y13, YG13, R85
Even though it's not one of my favorite colors, I chose blue this time because it reminds me of snowy days in Pennsylvania in January. I do miss the snow, but hubby is happy here in Florida, so that's good.
We're looking forward to having you come on over to Word Art Wednesday and play along as we kick off our first challenge of the new year!

Such a beautiful card, Barb! I love your stitched arch dies and how you added those lovely stamped and die cut flowers at the bottom of the verse! Such a pretty card design! Thank you for all your sweet comments on my WAW entries. You are such an encouragement to me!
ReplyDeleteAwwww, thanks so much Carrie! 😊

Thank you so very much, Maxine!
DeleteWhat a beautiful card! Thanks for sharing how to change the colors! I am going to have to try this out.
ReplyDeleteThanks so very much for stopping by!
DeleteYour card is so pretty Barb. I am wanting to get me some arched stitch dies. I can make an arch on my Cricut, but I really love the stitched look. I have to look in to how you change the colors of the font. Do I find it on Google play store and is it free?
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you!

Cindy, after reading your comments, I created a video, especially for you, and others who may want to change the color of the Word art Wednesday scriptures. I put a link to the video at the top of the side bar here. I use the app called Canva. I have the Pro version which costs a little bit per month, but I have heard that you can use the feature for free. Canva has so many other wonderful things for free on there. I know you will like it. Thanks so much for stopping by and please comment again if you have any questions.
DeleteI also forgot to mention, that the Canva app is available right in the App Store. You can also access it on a desktop or laptop just by visiting canva.com. You will have to register but it is still free. I hope this helps!🙂
DeleteHi Barb! Even though blue is not one of your favorite colors, you did an amazing job with this card. I discovered how to change the color of the Word Art from black to white on Procreate, but I'll need to play around with it to see if I can choose different colors like you did. Your card reminds me of the stained glass windows in churches. Blessings to you and your husband, my friend!
ReplyDeleteHi Reverend Arnaldo! I would love to try Procreate someday. Right now I use Canva Pro. I just recently found out how to change the color of something in that application. Under edit, you click on Duotone and that lets you change the colors to any color that you want. I’ve had so much fun with this, especially for the Word Art Wednesday scriptures. Thanks so much for stopping by!
DeleteHow beautiful this is, Barb! I love the soft hues of blue and the verse looks pretty in the darker blue. Thanks so much for your sweet comment!
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you so very much for your kind words and for stopping by today!
DeleteGorgeous Card Barb - I love your beautiful background against the arch sentiment xx
ReplyDeleteHi Barb, Thanks so much! You've left the sweetest comments on my blog and I'm happy to see your beautiful creations as I've been visiting here this morning. I'm so glad you used the pretty blues for this card, it's so elegant! I appreciate the info on changing the colors, although I'm not often using digi images. Love those gorgeous flowers, and the matching envelope!
