Needing some quick inspiration, I turned to Freshly Made Sketches #690 to give me a starting point. My supplies were very limited as I only have this one stamp that says Happy Father's Day. The images I have for men are limited too. Thankfully this guy likes fishing so I think I've got a good combo.
Here's my complete supply list:
- Stampin' Up! By The Tide Stamps
- CTMH A Little Everything Stamps
- Core'dinations Patterned Paper
- Kaiser Kraft Patterned Paper
- Misc. Patterned Paper
- SU! Night of Navy Card Stock
- Memento Nautical Blue Ink
- SU! Blueberry Bushel Ink
I still have yet to make (or find a previously made card) for my hubby by tomorrow. I've spent way too much time cross stitching today and now I really have to hustle. I've even procrastinated on the gifts so we have to open them tomorrow night. Where were we before Amazon!?
Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful day whether you're celebrating a special guy in your life or not. Thanks so much for stopping by!
What a nice gesture for this special guy! I love it and so will he!
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect, and a great take on the sketch. I'm sure your friend will love it xxx
ReplyDeleteI think you have nailed the card, with the fun sentiment font and the wonderful fish image - well done

That was such a sweet thing to do! I love that you made it based on his love of fishing. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
ReplyDeletethat is a wonderful card for him, I am sure he was much appreciative!
ReplyDeleteBarb, we actually went fishing yesterday which always brings us fond memories of my FIL - I did a little coloring in honor of my own who taught me all I know about it! I love your card and that fish is definitely a 'keeper!' Thanks for playing cards with us at Freshly Made Sketches!
