Retro Rubber #276 Sketch Time

In addition to my retro rubber stamps, I just love a good sketch to go along with them. And that's just what Retro Rubber's #276 gave us this time! It's a fun sketch that reminds me of the simplicity of card making.

I used one of my favorite sets called Everything Eleanor (from 2013). I just love all the elements in this set. Here's my complete supply list:

  • Stampin' Up! Everything Eleanor Stamp Set (2013)
  • SU! Incredible Like You (Sentiment & "Berries") (2019)
  • Speckletone True White Card Stock
  • SU! Berry Burst Ink
  • SU! Peaceful Pine Ink & Card Stock
  • SU! Calypso Coral Ink
  • Memento Grape Jelly Ink
  • Memento Rich Cocoa Ink
  • SU! Square Dies

Since Everything Eleanor doesn't come with a sentiment, I chose this sentiment because I liked how it looked with the swirly branch. And right now I'm incredibly proud of my daughter, who just accepted a job promotion and moved her and her dog from Wisconsin to Vermont. This card is going out in the mail very soon!

The only thing I wish now that I had done differently is to make the berries in orange rather than the Berry Burst ink. I think it would look more "flowing down from the top flower to the sentiment. But one thing that my daughter told me when she lived at home and I would criticize my cards, she would remind me that "it's only a card, Mom." She meant it in a really nice way, and I know she's right. I'm my own worst critic for sure!

Thanks so much to everyone over at Retro Rubber for this great sketch. I always love pulling out those old stamps and remembering why I loved them when I first bought them. Be sure to head over and play along and join in the fun. Thanks so much for stopping by today!
