This cute little piece was so fast and easy to make. Again, it was on my Pinterest Board for a long time. Once I got back into cross stitching I was surprised at how easy it was to make and wondered why I didn't make it sooner.
The FREE PATTERN is courtesy of Lizzie Kate. Her stuff is so cute! In order for it to fit on this wooden plaque that I had, I had to add a border around it which I just did myself.
If you're thinking about giving cross stitch a try, be sure to consider this design. It can even be made into an ornament or small, decorative pillow. It's the perfect accent to a fall display of mini pumpkins!
The YouTube video that features this piece is the same as the Autumn Cross Stitch. I just included it because both projects are covered here.
I hope you enjoyed this post and that you enjoy making this cute freebie!
hey barb, couldn't agree more that it is easier to pin things on pinterest then to actually make them! ha! finally after the summer and now that fall is here i have been in my craft room daily! i made some perler beads halloween and fall wreaths which were so fun to do and now i want to start cross stitching again. glad i found your site. love these patterns and can't want to give it a go this week/weekend. i wonder if you could show and describe how you added the wood frame. it is just lovely and gives it so much more character. cheers!
ReplyDeleteThat's so funny Susie! Yes, I have so many pins and I will never get to do them all, but I can't bear to part with them. I'm so glad that you'll have some time in your craft room this weekend. To make the "frame" I actually just glued my finished piece around a piece of matboard, then I glued it on a wood plaque that I think I bought at a craft store for about $1.00. It was unfinished, so I did stain it, let it dry then glued it right on with hot glue. I hope this helps. Happy crafting!
